MAKCU setup

The MAKCU is a serial box: it shows up as a COM port on the second PC and as a mouse on the game PC. Two cables, one baud rate, and it is done.

What you need

  • A MAKCU box
  • Two USB cables: one to the game PC, one to the second PC
  • Your mouse, which plugs into the box

01What it does

The MAKCU sits between your mouse and the game PC. Your movements pass through untouched; when the second PC wants a correction, it sends it over a serial link and the box mixes it into the same stream.

The game PC sees one USB mouse. Nothing is installed there, nothing is hooked, and the game reads HID reports exactly as it would from your hand.

02Wiring

  • Your mouse -> the box.
  • The box -> the game PC: this is the cable that makes it a mouse.
  • The box -> the second PC: this is the cable that carries the commands.

Both cables are USB and both matter. A box connected only to the game PC passes your mouse through and takes no orders; a box connected only to the second PC is a COM port that moves nothing.

03COM port and baud rate

In the product menu on the second PC, open Settings > Device and pick Serial as the device type.

  • Serial port - leave it on Auto and the loader finds the box itself. Press Rescan ports if you plugged it in after starting. Pick the port by hand only when several serial devices are connected.
  • Baud rate - 4000000 for a MAKCU. 115200 is there for the boxes that only speak it; at that rate a fast correction has to wait for the wire, so use it only if your box requires it.

Press Connect. The status line names the port and the rate it opened at.

04When Connect fails

Take it in order, it is nearly always one of these:

  • The second-PC cable is not plugged in, or is a charge-only cable.
  • No COM port appears in Device Manager: the box needs its USB serial driver on the second PC.
  • Another program already holds the port. A serial port is exclusive - close whatever opened it.
  • The wrong baud rate: try the other one before looking anywhere else.

If Connect succeeds and nothing moves in game, the serial half is fine: check that the box is the mouse the game PC is really using, with your mouse plugged into the box.

05Step by step

  1. 01Plug your mouse into the boxYour real mouse goes into the MAKCU.
  2. 02Cable the box to the game PCThis is the link that makes the box appear as a mouse to the game.
  3. 03Cable the box to the second PCThis is the serial link the aim commands travel on.
  4. 04Pick Serial and the portIn Settings > Device choose Serial, leave the port on Auto (or Rescan), and set the baud rate to 4000000.
  5. 05Press ConnectThe status line names the port and the rate. Turn on auto-connect so it reconnects by itself.

06Questions

What baud rate does a MAKCU use?
4000000. The Device settings also offer 115200 for boxes that only speak that rate, but a slower link delays every correction.
Do I need both USB cables?
Yes. One cable makes the box a mouse for the game PC, the other carries the commands from the second PC. With only one of them, half of it works and the other half does nothing.
The COM port does not show up.
Install the USB serial driver of the box on the second PC and check Device Manager. Then press Rescan ports in the Device settings.
Can I leave the port on Auto?
Yes, and that is the default: the loader picks the box itself. Choose a port by hand only when several serial devices are plugged in.
Does a MAKCU work with every product?
It is a serial device, so it works wherever the product offers the aim features - the Device settings are the same in all of them.
